Dr. Masoud Amelsakhi is a distinguished expert in Civil Engineering with a PhD and extensive experience in academia, industry, and government. He has served as an Assistant Professor at Qom University of Technology since March 2014 and previously at Urmia University from September 2009 to March 2014. His teaching portfolio includes specialized courses such as soil mechanics, soil dynamics, foundation engineering, tunnel engineering, embankment dams, excavation, retaining walls, and the finite element method. In addition to his academic roles, Dr. Amelsakhi has a strong background in practical engineering applications, having designed and supervised numerous critical infrastructure projects, including tunnels, roads, and dams in Iran. His tenure at Rahavar and Ghods Niroo Consulting Engineering Companies and the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development of Iran underscores his extensive project management and engineering supervision expertise.

Dr. Amelsakhi’s educational background includes a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Urmia University, a Master’s in Geotechnic Engineering from Isfahan University of Technology, and a PhD in Earthquake Engineering from the International Institute of Earthquake Engineering and Seismology in Tehran. His contributions to the field are evidenced by his active involvement in national and international engineering communities, including serving as a committee member of ICCASE, China, and a director at Qom University of Technology. Dr. Amelsakhi has been a key figure in developing national standards and has published extensively on geotechnical and earthquake engineering. His research on soil stabilization, seismic response of earth structures, and innovative engineering materials has significantly advanced the understanding and application of civil engineering principles.
